Oliver, I accidentally deleted the journal where you posted a suggestion on how I can try to better anticipate the color when I upload my work to DA. :(

After I turn the photo into 8bit, what was the rest?

you can try 2 things. convert the image to 8 bit and save for web.

or:

convert the image from RGB or to CMKY in photoshop and then save for web. That one always works for me.

I purchased a new monitor and have been converting to 8-bit and then "Saving to Web".
Its been working pretty well. :D

Hey, I was playing around with it last night, sometimes the 8 bit one doesn't work for some reason, not sure why. However, converting the image to cmyk and then saving to web works every time. I'd stick to that one, cause then you can leave it in 16 bit mode. Just an fyi.
